Scroller is a deceptively simple Windows screensaver that takes the content of any given text file and scrolls it up the screen. In the simplest cases, this allows you to have your favourite quotes, jokes, song lyrics or anything else displayed as your screensaver. However, the real value of Scroller becomes apparent when it's used on a network, or with a regularly-changing text file, or both. Scroller then becomes an ideal way to have any relevant information displayed on your screen, and the screens of all other users on your network - simply have all users point their Scroller screensaver to the same file on a network server, and whenever you update that file with current system news, your latest sales figures or anything else, all users will see it next time their screensaver starts up. |
